Course Information

Below you will find all the information regarding each course in the four-race series.   Each course is designed to build upon the previous one.  Each course has increasingly more technical terrain and increasingly more elevation/gain loss. Participants who complete all four events will have a strong, basic knowledge of the Round Valley trail system.

Course Description: The entire course is on graded-type dirt roads.  There is elevation gain for the first 1.5 miles and a downhill finish.   This is the easiest terrain out of all of the courses and has the least amount of elevation gain/loss.  This is a great course for children.  It is also great introduction to trail running for anyone who is participating in their first trail running event.  This is slightly longer than a 5k, 3.1 miles.
Aid Stations:  There will be one aid station on the course at approximately 1.7 miles into the course.  It will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Course Description: This course is slightly more challenging than the 5k.  The course takes participants onto additional elevation gain/loss as well as more technical/rocky terrain.  The first switchbacks of this series are approximately 3.5 miles into this course.  With more challenge comes more reward!  Participants will encounter great views of the surrounding Park City scenery.   It is slightly longer than a 10k, 6.2 miles.
Aid Stations: There will be three aid stations at miles 1.5, 3.2, and 4.5.  They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Course Description:  This course is more challenging than the 10k because of an increase in the amount of single-track.  The challenge is, however, what makes this course the participant favorite.  There is a full 1 mile hill starting at about mile 4 and ending near mile 5.   From there it is just a few bumps in the road and a downhill finish.  It is slightly short of a 15k, 9.3 miles.
Aid Stations: There are four aid stations on this course at miles 1.5, 3.2, 5, and 7.5.   They will all be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Course Description: This course has all the best parts of the 10k and 15k.  In addition, it has the most technical downhill portion of any of the races.  The course has a lot of single track, a lot of switchbacks, and prepares the beginner trail runner for any trail or terrain out there.
Aid Stations: There will be 6 aid stations at miles 1.5, 3.5, 5.5, 7.5, 9, and 11.5.  They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.
